Yeah, it’s back to reality for me. I am heading back into the work force after a short hiatus. I can safely say that many things have changed in my life this year. My family dynamics are now different and my work life may have just altered as well. Anyways, in any event, it is extremely nice and refreshing to be able to jump right back into the work force: strong. Confident, abled, and frankly, exciting.
Last Friday, I met up with a few of my colleagues for lunch. It was a cold day in Toronto so I kept it as usual, trendy, cool and wearable for a day in the law office. I’m wearing causal fitted trousers, a black tee which I accessorize with a couple of layered necklaces, and my ever present blazer.
Blazers are a staple in my closet. I tend to pair them casually for work over jeans, especially on days when I’m not seating in a courtroom listening to a case, and worn with a tee or a tank. In my office the blazer comes off, but for all intents and purposes, my blazers are that one accessorizing piece that makes my work fits trendy. I’m fortunate that inthe office, I can be as casual and comfy as I want, within reason.
So, after being on hiatus for a while, I can honestly say that I’m more eager than hesitant to re enter the legal arena.
So my Nystars wish me luck as I again set out to carve a path which my kids can safely travel.
